A late Summer Garden Barbeque was the first time members had gathered since the lockdown, and was greatly enjoyed by all.
Our annual Pétanque Competition was held in September where the winning team was presented with the new Roy Calthorpe Cup. A delicious lunch and cream tea added greatly to the success of the day.
A lively Anglo-French Quiz was held in Autumn where members were challenged with their general and specialist knowledge of our two cultures.
In November, our Chairman laid our poppy wreath at the Remembrance Service at St Mary’s Church.
At the Christmas Tree Festival in the Church, we decorated our tree on the theme of the Life of Edith Piaf in the film La Vie en Rose.
A Christmas Lunch was held in early December as an addition to our revival of events.
